Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 2-layer and 4-layer muslin?
2-layer muslin (double gauze, 120 g/m²) is light and airy — the classic swaddle fabric. 4-layer muslin (quad gauze, 200 g/m²) is thicker, softer and warmer, which suits blankets and cooler seasons.
What is the minimum order?
25 pieces per design. Within a design you can mix sizes and 2- or 4-layer freely. Add as many designs as you like, one after another.
What size is a muslin swaddle?
120×120 cm is the standard swaddle size and works from newborn to toddler. 100×100 cm makes a good cot or play blanket, and 70×70 or 60×60 cm are the classic muslin squares for burping and feeding.
Can I use different designs in one order?
Yes. Upload your first design, choose its sizes and add it to the cart, then add the next design the same way. Each design starts from 25 pieces, so nothing gets mixed up.
Does muslin shrink?
The gauze is washed during printing, so most shrinkage happens before sewing. A few percent more after the first home wash is normal and gives muslin its soft, crinkled look.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. The last card in the size list is “Custom size”: enter width and height, see the price instantly, set the quantity and add it to the cart together with the other sizes — it counts towards the 25-piece minimum.
Is shipping included in the price?
No. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and the destination.
Can I order a sample first?
Yes. Switch to “Sample” and choose one size: we print and sew a single finished piece with your design — small sizes (up to 70×70 cm) €25, larger sizes €50. When you are happy, order 25 pieces or more per design at the regular prices.
How long does it take?
Muslin is cotton printed with reactive inks: about 2 weeks for printing plus 1 week for sewing — around 3 weeks in total, for samples and production alike. If you have a deadline, contact us and we will see what we can do.
