Cut and sew

Printed mesh tops, T-shirts and dresses, from 50 pieces

Sheer mesh in your own print: long-sleeve layering tops, short-sleeve tees and dresses worn over a slip or a bodysuit. The mesh is printed first, then cut and sewn at partner workshops.

Mesh is polyester, so the print is sublimation: the colour goes into the fibre instead of sitting on top. The fabric stays light and see-through, and the print does not crack when it stretches. Choose 100% polyester mesh, or a stretch mesh with elastane for a close, body-skimming fit.

What we make

  • Long-sleeve mesh tops, fitted or relaxed, often worn as a layering piece
  • Short-sleeve and sleeveless mesh T-shirts
  • Mesh dresses: unlined, or over a plain or matching lining
  • Coordinated sets: a mesh top and a dress or skirt in the same print

Fabrics we would suggest

Our 100% polyester mesh (P16) is the starting point. For a closer fit we source a stretch mesh with elastane for your order. To line a dress, pair the mesh with a plain knit lining or a stretch jersey; a lycra underlayer turns it into a bodysuit.

These are suggestions, not a menu. We hold 67 qualities in stock and we source what we do not hold — if you already know the fabric you want, name it on the form.

Not on this page? Ask anyway.

We are not limited to the garment types listed here, and we are not limited to the 67 fabrics we hold in stock. If you want a cloth we do not carry, we source it. If you want a make we have not listed, describe it.

Tell us the fabric, the print and the construction you have in mind. If it can be printed and sewn, we will tell you how and what it costs — and if it cannot, we will tell you that too.

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us, or show us

A photo, a sketch, a tech pack, or a garment you already own. Send your print file if you have one — we can also work from a pattern you supply.

  2. 2

    We quote

We come back with a price for the whole run: fabric, printing, cutting, sewing and packing.

  3. 3

    We sew a sample

Before the main run you get a production sample to approve. Changes happen at this stage, not after.

  4. 4

    The run starts

Once you approve the sample, production begins. Every metre is inspected before it is cut, and the finished garments are boxed and shipped.

From your file to the boxed order

  1. 1

    Your file

We check the artwork — repeat, scale, resolution, and how the pattern will sit on the cut pieces.

  2. 2

    Strike-off

Optional. A short test print so you see the colour on the actual cloth before the full run.

  3. 3

    Printing

At the partner mill that suits the fibre: reactive on cotton, sublimation on polyester, acid on silk.

  4. 4

    Fabric inspection

Every metre is checked before anything is cut. Faults are caught here, not after sewing.

  5. 5

    Cutting

The pattern is laid and cut at the partner workshop, with the print placement planned on each piece.

  6. 6

    Sewing

Assembled and finished, including your own labels.

  7. 7

    Final check

Finished garments are checked against the sample you approved.

  8. 8

    Packing and dispatch

Folded or on hangers, boxed and handed to the courier.
