We supply printed fabric to fabric shops, wholesalers, brands and makers who resell or manufacture. If that's you, this page shows what your cost base looks like compared with a retail print-on-demand service.
We are not pretending to be the same kind of business as a consumer POD site. We are not. The difference is the point.

The comparison, per square metre
Fabric is sold by the metre or the yard, at different widths, so a headline price tells you very little. The only honest comparison is price per square metre. Here is the arithmetic, so you can check it yourself.
1 yard = 0.9144 m. Area = length × width. Retail figures are as published on spoonflower.com on 23 September 2026, in USD. Ours are in EUR, ex-VAT, at list price before any volume pricing, using our advertised fabric widths.

Across these qualities our trade price is roughly a quarter to a third of retail print-on-demand pricing per square metre, depending on the exchange rate on the day. Fabrics are described as closest equivalents, not identical articles — construction, finish and fibre content differ between suppliers.
What that means if you resell
A 50 m order of Organic Cotton Jersey at 150 cm is 75 m² of printed fabric. At our trade price that is €495. The same area bought at retail print-on-demand pricing would be around $1,845.
That difference is your margin. It is the reason a fabric shop buys from a trade printer rather than sending its customers to a consumer site.
Why we have minimums
5 m per design on cotton, 2 m on polyester. Reactive and sublimation printing both need a minimum run to hold colour consistently along a length — below that, the first metres are setup. We would rather decline a 1 m order than sell you a metre we are not confident in.
It also means we are built for repeat trade orders rather than one-off consumer sales, and that is what keeps the per-metre price where it is.
