Frequently asked questions
Which fabric is best for a silk scarf?
For real silk choose 100% Silk Satin. For a silk look at a lower price, Silky Crepe drapes beautifully and Matte Satin gives a soft, matte silk feel. Satin 100 g is the most economical glossy option.
What size is a classic scarf?
90×90 cm is the classic square scarf. 53×53 and 70×70 cm are neckerchiefs and small scarves, 110×110 and 140×140 cm are large scarves and shawls, and 180×70 cm is the standard shawl and hijab size.
What is the minimum order?
25 pieces per design. Within a design you can mix sizes; the fabric is chosen per design. Add as many designs as you like, one after another.
Can I order a sample first?
Yes. Switch to “Sample”, choose a fabric and one size: we print and sew a single finished piece — sizes up to 70×70 cm €25, larger sizes €50. Real silk samples cost twice as much (€50 / €100).
How are the edges finished?
Edges are machine-hemmed with a narrow rolled hem; jersey is overlocked. Hand-rolled edges and fringes are available on request — ask us for a price.
Is the print visible on both sides?
On silk, viscose, cotton and jersey the reactive print goes through the fabric and looks good on both sides. On silk-look polyesters (sublimation) the back is lighter than the front.
How should I prepare my design?
For a placement print (border, corner motif, framed design) make your file at the finished size plus 1 cm on each edge, at 150 dpi or more. Repeating patterns can be any size — we repeat them across the scarf.
Is shipping included?
No. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and the destination.
How long does it take?
Silk-look polyesters: printing 3–5 days plus 1 week sewing — about 2 weeks. Silk, cotton, viscose and jersey: printing about 2 weeks plus 1 week sewing — about 3 weeks. The same applies to samples. In a hurry? Contact us.
